And so it begins.
It is 12 days before my 47th birthday and in the last 4 months I have left my job, sold virtually everything I own, rented my sticks and bricks house in Anchorage, Alaska, and have purchased my first motorhome. A 2003, Monaco LaPalma, Class A. It is 36.5ft in length and has 2 slides. This motorhome will be my primary residence as of Sunday, at which time I will begin life as a non-retired, non-pensioned, “full-timer”. Change is in the air.
Today was spent finalizing insurance quotes, arranging for the wiring of funds, signing up for a Road-side-Assistance plan, ordering new tires, making an appointment to have someone at Great Alaskan Holidays (the local Winnebago dealership and service center) show me how to operate my new house, and jumping into the new to me world of blogging. How do you like it so far? Stay tuned. It looks like life is going to be exciting for a while.
I’ll be waiting to see a picture of your new home. It sounds exciting.
